MOULD ADJUSTMENT / ASSEMBLY

Mould assembly
refers to the assembly of all components that create the mould and the auxiliary components.

As a module, they form the completed casting mould.

The components that create the mould are the mould halves, the slide and the cores, as well as engraving inlays such as date stamps.

Auxiliary components are standard parts such as the base frame, ejector pins, plates and spacers.

Mould adjustment refers to the mating together of the individual mould components such as the nozzle end, ejector end, slide and cores. These are spotted, so that they are optimally aligned with each other and provide a tool that eliminates overfilling and has a long service life. In the case of large mould inserts, this is done with the aid of spotting presses.
