History

1988

G&G Beschlaege GmbH is founded in Vollmaringen - near Nagold. The companies main emphasis is the development of hardware, mainly furniture hardware of zinc, plastic and steel.

1989

Start of the production of hardware out of zinc, by the opening of the pressure foundry in a production hall with 200 sqm in Vollmaringen.

1991

Expansion of the article assortment by the construction of an own tool moulding. The majority of the needed pressure moulds are made now in the own toolshop.

1992

The production must be enlarged - a three shift operating in the production is introduced.

1994

The enormous growth requires a company movement to the industrial area in Nagold. Due to the move the production area enlarges herself on 1.000 sqm.

1996

Change of the management. First contacts to the European foreign countries are made. The first prototypes of the own production machines are developed and built.

1997

Consolidation of the capacities in the toolshop by the introduction of an extended two shift model. 85% of the necessary forms are produced in the own toolshop. Expansion of the performance supply of the engineering department by the introduction of 3-D CAD/CAM system. Expansion of mechanical engineering production area by the special mechanical engineering.

1998

The construction of a service department proceeding autarchic is performed. The performance offer is extended around the areas, FEM-calculation, Rapid-Prototyping and Rapid-Tooling. The reorganisation process of production is completed. The production is fully automated.

1999

All internal data are digitally , technical as well as business manner. The communication in the company is guaranteed by a universal networking of all PC workplaces. The business field is extended by the areas special mechanical engineering and special business central block. The production is increased by further 2 on altogether 15 machines. Getting for the first time more than 200 Mio. standard and special parts produced and delivered world-wide.

2000

The article assortment is completed by articles like furniture legs and rolls. Furthermore all kind of wire-bending parts are available. The production is expanded over-all to 16 machines.

2001

With 31 employees there are worn more than 2.100 tons of material yearly. With all customers we are listed as A-supplier. The outer storage is increased to 1.700 sqm.

2002

2003

Connection of the Logistic-Center to the central-server. Extension of the warehouse and doubling of the stock capacity. Reconstruction of the machinery park.

2004

Packing and shipping are moved completely to the new Logistic-Center. Introduction of a new 5-axis CAM-system. Extension of the toolshop by a new 5-axis HSC-milling center and two modular build spark erosion centers with changers for 28 tools. Extension of the production to a total of 17 diecasting machines and a capacity of 4000 tons / year.

2005

IT Upgrade and build up of the intranet. Several networks established.

2006

Production upgrade to 4 more and all in 21 new fully automatic zinc diecasting machines.

2007

Rebuilding of the internal logistics in the production and optimization of the flow of material.

2008

The stock capacity was increased and we established a high-volume small load carrier system.

2009

The production planning system was completely integrated in our ERP-system and we improved our internal logistics based on a digital scanner system.

2010

Purchase of an ultrasonic cleaning system for gentle cleaning and conservation of our molds.

2011

Our departments administration and design completely move to the new administration building in the Ferdinand-Porsche-Strasse 46.

2012

Move of the logistics center to Eutingen providing 1.000 additional storage pallet positions in a high rack storage. Additionally, we linked our production machines to our ERP for digital realtime machine surveillance.

2013

G&G celebrates 25 years and we continue to optimize ourselves. The annual capacity has reached more than 6.000 tons and we despire the certifications DIN/ISO 9001 and 14001. In addition, we reduced the amount of waste deposit by investing in the improvement of recyclability.

2014

Significantly reduce amount of waste going to landfill by investing in improving the recyclability of our waste. Introduction of a new automatic small load carrier or cardboard packing.

2015

New logo / corporate design as a basis for a new market presence of G&G

2016

Expansion of the logistics center to 3,000 square meters and a further integration of the logistics in the central planning process.
